Camouflage and mimicry: Cambridge University Press Commission – Watercolour on board

Botanical drawing and painting workshop Saturday 15th February 2020 *Fully booked* at Nower Wood Educational Reserve, Leatherhead, Surrey Wildlife Trust. 10am to 4pm. This event will be held remotely via Zoom.

As a Scientific Artist, Jo have been involved with many botanical and scientific art and design commissions over the years, from natural history publications, gardening projects for example Which Gardening Magazine articles, designing and illustrating brochures, commercial packaging to book publication commissions for example Harrods Wedding Book artworks and end paper design, and private ‘Initial designs’ for weddings presentation gifts. Jo work’s in many traditional mediums from watercolour, pencil, pen and ink or oils; to digital including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

These prints were sold to establish the Jean Magarson Fund by the Faculty of Art and Design, Hornsey College of Art, Middlesex. An Award in memory of Jean to create an annual prize to the most promising first year graphics student.
